1971 "RECOLLECTIONS OF THE ERIE CANAL" HISTORICAL BOOKLET (TONAWANDA, N. Y.)

Description

This is a 1971 booklet (see picture) entitled RECOLLECTIONS OF THE ERIE CANAL, written by Richard Garrity and published by the Historical Society of the Tonawandas, located in Tonawanda, New York.  This booklet, 60 pages in length, was written "in the language of an old time canaller" and "the reader discovers that life on the Old Erie, frugal and difficult as it was, could also have its humorous and pleasant side".  And, there are at least a dozen old black and white pictures.  This booklet is clean and intact, exhibiting little wear or creasing from handling and storage over the past 50 years.  There is no handwriting in the booklet.  It would make a great addition to your own collection, or it would make a wonderful gift for that Erie Canal enthusiast, Tonawanda area historian, or vintage publication collector in your life!  Postage is .50.  And, of course I'll combine postage on multiple purchases.  Sorry, NO international shipping.  Be sure to check the other items in my eBay store, too!
