I picked this up at an estate sale. It was in the basement and was quite rusty and dirty.
When I got it home I considered throwing it out because it looked so bad. But the screws turned without any effort, so the rust wasn't THAT bad. I decided to spend about 15 minutes cleaning the metal with the wire wheel in my bench grinder. The listing photos show the tool after that 15 minutes of attention.
This is a project tool. It's solid, but it needs more wire brushing to clean it up. And if you are so inclined, you could do a little bit of grinding/polishing on the metal. Then sand and refinish the wood handle.
There was no scraper blade. I'm not sure what you would do about that.
If you're up for the project, the price is right.
I really hate to throw out an old tool that was made as good as this one was, and that can be restored.
