    Description

    Antique early hand forged wrought iron tool used in barn or house raising.   Originally mounted on a very long wood pole and used by men on the ground to help stabilize beams or rafters when raising them during barn or house construction.  This interesting early tool has been mounted on a hand turned wooden base and secured with an early large rose head nail.  Mounted securely and weighing about 3  1/2 pounds.    Measures 15  1/2" high overall with the wrought iron portion measuring 12  1/2".  The wood base a little less than 4" diameter across the bottom.   A unique display for an interesting early tool.  Free Priority shipping.
