Four Chicago Landmarks booklets published byThe Commission on Chicago Historical and Architectural Landmarks
. The commission was established in 1968 with its members appointed by the Mayor and City Council. It has the responsibility of recommending to the City Council individual buildings, sites, objects, or entire districts to be designated as Chicago Landmarks. Once designated the landmark can be provided with legal protection. As of April 1, 2008, 308 Chicago Landmarks have been designated by the City Council, including 259 individual designations and 49 landmark districts.
The offered booklets are softcover, staple bound (staples rusted), pictorial cardstock wraps with text, photographs and illustrations throughout, 11 x 4-1/8 inches;
