We have had these Gold 3.5mm Jack to 3.5mm Jack leads manufactured to our very own specifications and are very proud with the results.
Technically we found that most 3.5mm Jack to 3.5mm Jack leads on today?s market are utilising a twisted pair construction. This is designed to reject interference, which sounds like a good idea. However, twisted pair cables create a low pass filter, removing the sound of the high end detail that the MP3 compression in the iPod / MP3 player struggles with the most in the first place.
Our fine solution to this was a straight pair, high quality OFC cable interconnects and the sound quality is phenomenal.
Here at In Car Products we had the cable manufactured so that the earth wrapped around the straight pairs and used a 4mm thick hard rubber sheath around the outside which helps with the interference rejection performance.
