Description

This is a Stainless Steel Parallel Marking Vernier Caliper. These are used to layout wood but are really excellent tools for the knife maker. These use a carbide rod which has a simple flat angle grind. This allows the slide to close to zero. It will open all the way to 8" (200mm). The vernier scale is in both MM and Inches. These are great to scribe either the side lines or center line on knife blanks. There is a roller guide which is really made for wood. Sometimes on steel the roller loses traction and the blade slides along the roller instead of the roller rolling. It really doesn't matter as the roller is hardened and it works well either way. Comes with the black vinyl case.
