    Description

This extremely rare piece of music history commemorates the 1983 milestone of Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' reaching 35 Million Albums Sold---becoming the best selling album of all time!
    Michael
Jackson, the King of Pop, personally commissioned a limited number of these lucite awards for Epic Records executives, producers, managers, recording engineers, etc. --- as a Thank You to the key people in the industry that helped his album reach record-breaking heights...and it was awarded to the current owner.
    It
was never available for sale to the public.
It's a great find for music memorabilia collectors of rare and treasured items.
The lucite award is triangular in shape, with a 3D pewter sculpted bust of Michael Jackson imbedded in the center featuring diamant
    é
stone eyes. The bust is visible in 3D reflections from all viewing angles. Also imbedded in lucite is the Michael Jackson Thriller logo, and the copy "OVER 35 MILLION ALBUMS - THE LARGEST SELLING ALBUM IN THE RECORDED MUSIC HISTORY
    ".
It was featured on display (on loan by the owner) at the Museum of Art, Science and Industry at the "Rock & Roll Art & Artifacts Exhibit" (March 11-May 14, 1989) in Bridgeport, CT, and then returned to storage until now.
