Mike Bornstein's "Mental Miracle"...The Ulitmate "Diary" Book
Effect:  There are many versions of the diary book on the market, but once you use this method, the spectators will feel they have seen a "mental miracle".   Mentalist places a pocket sized "diary" (which covers every day of the year) ont the table and asks the spectator to think of any month and day that stands out in his mind. It could be a birthday or some other special occasion. The moment he has his selection in his mind, he is asked to look in the "diary" book for that particular month and day to remember the "lucky" card that is posted next to it. He can also check the pages before and after his selection to see that all the cards that are posted are totally different. He is told not to mention his selection to anybody. At this point, the mentalist mentions that he had a premonition early in the day.  Several cards flashed into his mind, but one stood out above the others.  He put a "marking" on that card in a "red" deck that he removes from his pocket.  The pack is shuffled and shown to be a "red" color.  Now the deck is turned face up and spread across the table.  the spectator is asked to push out his selected card.  The card is left on the table as the rest of the pack is gathered together.  Again, the backs of the deck is shown to be "red".  The spectator is asked to turn over his cards and he is amazed to find the card is the only "blue" backed card in the deck.  He again spreads the deck across the table, but this time it is face down.  He mentions that he saw several cards in his premonition as he removes a second "bue" backed card from his pocket.  The card is placed into the "red" deck and the pack is shuffled.  Another spectator is asked to select a month and a day in the diary book and to remember the card posted next to it.  Again, the blue card matches his secret thoughts.   This can be one of the strongest effects in your repertroire.  No roughing fluid.  No sticky tape.  Easy to handle for close up and stage.
This item came from the estate of a home magician. Comes with instructions, cards and wallet needed for effect.  Please note - the wallet and one of the envelopes/cards has become a bit curled from storage.   Likely a flat heavy object would help fix this situation.  See pics.
