This rare and highly collectible book has over 400 pages of photographs of Bird, and reproduces hundreds of handwritten notes, contracts, clippings and ephemera, all carefully preserved by his widow, Chan. Published in 1981, reportedly only 500 to 1000 were printed.

Bound in burgundy vinyl-covered boards with inset printed address label bearing book title, housed in a laminated parcel-design tray box with lid. A fine, copy of this book in a lightly used box, with some corner wear and scotch tape on bottom two corners. A nice clean example of this rare book. A deluxe-style photographic tribute to legendary saxophonist Charlie 'Bird' Parker.
