  • Condition: Excellent used condition with no breaks or repairs. Edge is sharp. Handle is loose from shrinking and has old yellow paint remnants. Wood handle appears to be original to this iron. Great looking piece.

    where the shaft and blade meet. Also another mark that looks like
    DJ
    over D
    J
    (not sure / maybe personalized markings by the owner). The iron measures 15 3/4 inches long, the overall length is 27 1/4 inches. Its weight is 2 lb. 12.2 ounces. This has been well used and well cared for. I recently acquired it from an estate in Salamanca, NY. Their family owned a saw mill in the 1930's and 40's. The handle is loose, probably from wood shrinkage. Its overall condition is excellent. There are no splits in the wood and no chips, cracks or repairs in the iron.
