Rare Coalport Ltd Edition Lidded Urn Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee 1953-1977

Description

Up for auction is this quality commemorative lidded urn.  It was manufactured by Coalport China of England and made to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of HM Queen Elizabeth II in 1977.  The urn comes in a beautiful cobalt blue ground with rich gold embellishments throughout. The front of the urn shows a beautiful hand painted vignette of Windsor Castle framed by a heavy gold scrolled border.  The reverse shows a rich embellished gold design.   The lid is topped with a gold pine cone finial and either side are wonderful detailed rams head handles. Beautifully gilded in a rich gold that adds quality to this rare and desirable piece.  This was made in
a limited edition of 200 pieces with this being #75.
It measures 4-1/4" in dia. x 9-3/4" tall.  It comes in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
