Scarce TROBRIAND islands gourd lime container with pig tusk
A fine and rare Trobriand gourd lime container with a stopper made of rolled up leaf covered with fine basketwork (I have not opened the stopper in order to leave it in its original condition as found). Topped by a pig tusk and a band of burnt-in curvilinear designs. Beautiful piece in very good condition!
