    Throw-out Card Playing Cards
    are decks of playing
    cards featuring exact replicas
    of the throw-out cards of some of the world’s most famous magicians.
    Throwout cards are cards that are usually printed with the performer's picture on one side and sometimes with advertisements, tour dates, playing card backs or other information on the other side. They are the same size and shape as playing cards. They were often distributed by the performer in the course of a demonstration of card throwing.
    The original throwout cards have become highly collectible and many of then quite rare and scarce.
    Each card features the face side of from high-resolution scan of the original throwout card.

    ABOUT THE GREAT RAYMOND
    Maurice F. Raymond born Maurice "Morris” Saunders on May 30, 1877 in Akron, Ohio, died on January 27, 1948 at the age
    of 70 in New
    York City, New York.
    Maurice Francois Raymond (1877-1948) toured the world as The Great Raymond. He began performing as a young man in
    the United
    States, but achieved success first in England.
    Raymond played in the
    Vaudeville circuits and in 1910 he made a
    tour of Australia, spending
    considerable time in the Far East. He also visited Japan, China, Manila and Hawaii.
    One act that Raymond was known for was his "Mytempsicosis — fastest trunk escape in the world", performed with his wife,
    Lipzka. He
    was sponsored into the S.A.M. by Houdini in
    1921.
