Here is an old collectible vintage booklet,
Home Protection Exercises.
It was published by the U.S. Office of Civil and Defense Mobilization. The cover says: Slightly Revised July 1960 ... Reprinted March 1961. 31 pages with stapled spine. Illustrated.
On the inside front cover is a message about Civil Defense by President John F. Kennedy. This booklet came out during the Cold War and gives advice to citizens in preparation of an attack. It gives instructions on the preparation of a shelter, home fire prevention, emergency first aid procedures, what to do if someone is trapped, provision of safe food and water, and home nursing. It is all about survival.
This vintage booklet shows some wear on the edges and light yellowing of pages due to age. No tears. On the cover is written (in ink) "Welfare Fund Oregon 4-5858;" there are no other pen or pencil marks. All pages are included.
