For auction is a booklet entitled the "Central Burma". Japan occupied much of Burma, which lies strategically between India and China, blocking the Allies from supplying Nationalist China, which was fighting Japan. Japan invaded Burma just after Offered for auction here is the booklet entitled "Northern France". Following the Normandy invasion on June 6, 1944, US troops consolidated and drove into the northeastern part of France, while British and Canadian troops moved into France east of the US armies. This publication reviews the US actions, to include the breakout from Normandy, the advance into Brittainy, battles in the Falaise-Argentan pocket and the Mortain counterattack, the drive to the Seine River, and the advance to the German border.
