(1) ... This Vintage Craftsman 1 HP 100% ball bearing heavy duty router , model 315.25070 P5354 , has a 25,000 rpm , 110-120 Volt , 6 amp UL Listed AC-DC motor that boasts a 7' long cord ! The illumination bulb (still working) is GE94 ME7 . There are some nicks and scratches (which is why I chose used !) , but hey , this old boy was manufactured in the 1970's , so wear is normal , but this one , you won't find another cleaner than this as I thoroughly clean and inspect everything I post here ! Although in excellent working condition , there are some issues ... One main one that I solved , was that the router came with no base plate or screws in which to fasten it . I had another old Craftsman router and now have a base plate that fits ! It fastens to the base via (3) 10-32 screws that were flathead and now are Phillips head ; less chance of stripping , however (2) of the (3) countersunk holes have a fine crack to the outside ; some gorilla glue will make it like new if you're handy , and even if you did nothing , it will still be okay ! The (3) inner holes engineered to hold bushings had angled countersinks toaccommodate
the bushings that came with the Craftsman Lettering Template # 9-2573 (an 8-32 screw with angled flat heads) , but the (3) 10-32 Phillips head screws that hold Bushing Set # 9-25099 would not clear the bottom of the base plate ! So I countersunk it flat (practically took the angle out) , and now the base plate will
accommodate
both ! One last note about the replacement base plate : on the original , there are (2) square windows to allow access of a screw , each side that are not there on this one . But if you look to the sides below each handle , there is a 3/8" hex bolt that does the same (tight now so they don't get lost ... they are pinch hold bolts that would secure a shaft(s) on another setup not included with this sale , nor do I have one !
(2) ... Also with this working and in excellent condition router , you get a Craftsman 3-Dimentional-Deluxe Pantograph and hardware No. 9-25187 or 335.25187 , also in excellent condition , however there are a couple white nylon "stud ball covers or feet" that are missing , but not really necessary , the wedges to hold the workpiece steady are included ! Both the router and the pantograph no longer have their original boxes , however , I have researched , found , and printed out the owners manual for each !! Also please keep in mind that the corner connections that are able to swivel , were taken apart for cleaning , and I left them a bit loose , as you'll want to tighten or loosen them up to fit your specific tension/needs !! What is missing from the pantograph , are the (2) nylon "slide buttons , and the 3rd point "hold down nylon socket" ; but a true craftsman can improvise a replacement for what is missing !
(3) ... Next you get a Craftsman Router Lettering Template Set No. 9-2573 in the original box with owners manual ! There are (2) different heights to all these numbers , letters & symbols of 1 1/2" and 2 1/2" ! Out of the 1 1/2" letters , the "I" and "J" template is damaged by the previous owner and out of the 2 1/2" tall letters , the "S" , "L" , "I" , "H" , "E" and "B" are damaged by the previous owner ! The only thing different from the previous owner and myself is that I thoroughly clean , inspect , report and test everything I post on eBay !! So if you're a descent/smart woodworker , although the templates I indicated were damaged , it should be no problem to get some new plastic/blanks somehow , and make yourself some new ones or if you're handy , repair what was damaged , and you'll see why I call it damaged !! And when I also say damaged , they all are still "workable" , depending on your level of patience !! This template set does not depend on the router , or the pantograph for use ! Another words , although you can use the templates with the pantograph , it can also be used without the pantograph depending on your design situation !!!
(4) ... And lastly , as previously mentioned , you get the Craftsman Template guide bushings (steel) # 9-25069 , set of (3) bushings , with the pilot O.D. (Outside diameter) of 7/16" , 5/8" & 1 1/16" ! (I left one assembled to the base plate so you can see how it's assembled) !! In it's original box and clean as a whistle !! None of these (4) items have or depend on anything to do with one another , but they all can be used depending on your urge to create !! Any tools , wrenches or drivers are not included here as what you see if how I received the items , only now they are very clean !!
Packaged securely and ready to ship once your payment account clears ! As always , thank you for having an interest in my item and you have a great day !!!
