Vintage Yacht Searchlight, The Portable Light co. Half Mile Ray, Nautical Lamp

Are you in the middle of a Yacht project? If so, you should take a close look at this listing.
Its a long story, but here it is.

This Search/Spot light was made a long time ago (I do not know exactly how old it is) by  The Portable Light Co. for Cris Craft.

These lights are the most beautiful specimens to be found on the market, with a huge 8" light.
The glass lens measures 7 in. and the whole light assembly measures 8.5 in. from side to side.

The reflector, cable sheath, gears, yoke, mounting hardware, bolts, and threads all look GOOD.
^
One neat feature of the light is that the periscope style shaft can be mounted ontop your cabin and the bottom knob protrudes INTO your cabin, where you can move the light up and down and from side to side, all in the warm and dry.

Several parts of the light are made of brass, including the gears and the upper yoke.
^
But beyond these features, this is no ordinary specimen. You will not find another one like it.
A well known design artist in our area took this light and powder coated most of the parts.
The maker's brand on the bottom cap was covered by this treatment.

I have found four small issues with this item.
--There is no bulb.
--You will need to thread your wiring up through the armored cable sheath.
--The chrome on the mounting shaft has "freckles" in it. (see last pic.)
--You will need to add a bit of silicone or something to the lens in order to make it waterproof.

There you go. I only have one. I am waiting for someone who will appreciate this item for it's true value.

Faster Delivery:
I must get my items to the Post office before 1:30 pm Mon-Friday. That means in order for me to have time to prepare your package, I have to have your payment before 12 noon, for the package to go out THAT DAY.
This means that if you can get payment to me before noon, the item will come to you one day sooner than if you make the payment after noon of the same day. Of course, if you order at any time from Friday noon through Sunday morning, there will probably be an extra day or two delay.
