Vtg Custom Made Lufthansa German Airlines Asian Theme Porcelain Trinket Box

Description

Up for bid is this rare vintage porcelain or ceramic trinket box. The lid on the box features an Asian inspired design with two women in an outdoor setting as well as the famous Lufthansa bird symbol. Done in off white with a gold tone accent around the lid. The underneath of the lid again has the symbol with, "Lufthansa" and a figure carrying a flag, the word on the flag starts with an S, but the rest if hard to read. On the bottom of the box is a crown over a stripped shield and what looks like the words, "Waechte Abbach", which may be the name of the company that made it, but I am not sure, research yielded no results. Also the words, "Spezialanfertigung Fur Lufthansa", meaning custom-made or special version for Lufthansa. The box measures approximately 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" in size and dates somewhere between the 50's and very early 70's.
The piece is in wonderful used condition, with some light crazing, most noticeably a thin crazing line behind the women in red, seen on second photo, but no chips, cracks or repairs. The porcelain/ceramic on the four corners on the bottom are not smooth, but this is from the mold. May need a cleaning/dusting from years in storage of an estate.
